Wun Ting Wendy TAI was raised and educated in Hong Kong, Canada and the US. Having received her BA in Fine Arts with a minor in Art History from University of Pennsylvania in 2008, she is currently pursuing an MFA at the Rinehart School of Sculpture, Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore. Her work has been shown in various group exhibitions in Philadelphia and Hong Kong. Wendy recently received a Grant for Emerging Artists from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

While she has a multitude of interests and artistic pursuits, Wendy is mainly concerned with creating pieces that address cultural, social and political issues. Her artistic practice is more often than not rooted in scholarly resarch. She dabbles in cultural theory, curating, ethnography and psychoacoustics, and is closely following the development of Africa-China relations. At the moment she is exploring the potentials of new media. She is also a big fan of maps.
